From Thoughts
to Words:

Why I Finally Started This Blog

Hi, I’m Rachel.

This is my first time blogging, and to be honest, I’m not exactly sure where this will go. I don’t have a perfect plan or a clear roadmap.

I just know that I wanted to start something for myself — a space where I can write, reflect, and share my thoughts about life and my experiences.

Maybe it will resonate with someone, maybe it won’t. But this is simply me — putting my thoughts into words and letting them exist outside of my head.

Finding Happiness in the Simple Things

I’m in my mid-thirties, single, working, and most of the time, genuinely happy. For me, happiness isn’t about big achievements or constant excitement. It’s in the small things. Spending time with the people I love most — my family and close friends — is what truly fills me up.

The Importance of Family and Meaningful Conversations

I love having deep conversations with my parents, sharing memories, laughing, teasing each other, and just being present. Those moments mean everything to me. They recharge me in a way nothing else can. It’s simple, but it’s real — and that’s enough.

The Things That Bring Me Peace and Inspiration

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, exploring new places, and trying new food and drinks. I also love reading, even though I don’t always have as much time for it as I’d like.

Books That Challenge Perspective

When I do read, I prefer books that challenge my perspective — books that offer real-world insights rather than easy, feel-good stories. I’m drawn to things that make me think, reflect, and sometimes even question what I thought I knew.

One book that really stood out to me is The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. It was eye-opening and made me see people and situations in a completely different way.

My Love for Tea and Quiet Moments

And then there’s tea.

My day starts with tea, and it ends with tea. A day without it honestly feels incomplete. What started as a simple attempt to lose weight — drinking green tea — slowly turned into something much more.

Over time, I discovered the world of tea: different types, flavors, combinations, and the whole experience around it.

Why Tea Became Part of My Daily Life

Now, it’s something I genuinely love. Maybe even a bit of an addiction — but one I’m happy to have. Tea calms me. It gives me peace of mind. My favorites are green tea and mint tea.

Learning to Protect My Peace

As a person, I would describe myself as objective. I don’t easily believe what people say. I pay attention to actions more than words, because I truly believe actions reveal who people really are.

That’s also why I don’t trust easily, and why my circle is small.

And I’m okay with that.

Choosing Peace Over Drama

I don’t like drama. I prefer peace. I’d rather stay home, relax, and watch something on Netflix than be in an environment that feels heavy or negative. Protecting my energy has become important to me.

The Beginning of Lived Reflections

This blog is just the beginning. I don’t know exactly what it will become yet, but I know it will be honest. It will be real. And it will reflect my thoughts, my experiences, and the things I learn along the way.

If you’re reading this — welcome. Maybe somewhere in these words, you’ll find something you relate to.

And if not, that’s okay too.

This is just me, starting.
